Ella Wareham

Ella Wareham did these three translations as part of an independent Study with Pilar Marcé during the spring semester of 2025. She is a senior at the University of Iowa majoring in International Studies and Spanish.
Description of Translation
These works are three short stories by Ana María Matute (1926-2014) an acclaimed Spanish novelist and short story writer. Her adolescence was deeply influenced by the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) and this is evident in her many works that often focus on children and the loss of innocence.
